OMG, it's May!

OMG, it's May!  This is something I am just now realizing on May3rd and that's why the "Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap" lists are late. This month we welcome Shelley Melnyk from Ohio, USA to our group. Glad to have you, Shelley.

The May 2016 Swap Roster and Member Lists have been emailed to you. Finally. Please let me know if you find any problems. Just a little reminder to use 100% cotton scraps if you're going through your scrap pile or even purchasing new fabric.  Also the hexies are to measure 1 inch on each side.
Enjoy your sewing,
Irene

These April flowers are on their way tomorrow to Molly Pruitt. I hope you like them.

Hexie Flowers Received

Thank you, Di Sercombe, for the gorgeous March hexie flowers. I love the colors you chose and the "Sewing Machine" card is adorable.

It's finally spring in Texas!  There are wildflowers growing everywhere.
Hello, April!
Here's to a new month and new "Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap" lists.  March was a quiet month, no new members and no members leaving.  The April lists have been sent by email.  A little reminder:  we're making 1-inch hexagon flowers for each other. (That is 1-inch on the side, not across.)  Please remember also to let the person who sent you flowers know that you've received them and let the person you're sending know that their flowers are on the way.  I find that Facebook is really a fast way to communicate so check out our Facebook page if you haven't done so already.
Enjoy your sewing!
Hugs,
Irene

Happy Easter!

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb... They found the stone rolled away and when they went in, they did not find the body. While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men in dazzling clothes stood beside them and said, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen!" (Luke 24:1-6)

Aboriginal Design Hexie Flower

I'm back home now from a 2-week trip and found this lovely hexie flower in my mailbox. One of our newest members, Daphne, sent it. The petals are make from Aboriginal designs. Thanks for making this for me. It's lovely.
